complete measuring system for architects, construction estimators,
engineers and surveyors. QuikRuler III quickly and accurately

FAQ’s
Which
digitizers can be used with the QuikRuler III?
The Roll-Up III, Super L IV & Super
L VI. With a Legacy Kit the original Roll-Up, Roll-Up II, Super L
2+, Super L III, AccuTab, and AccuTab II
How will
the QuikRuler III be connected to my PC?
The QuikRuler
connects via a USB port.
What
operating systems are supported?
Win98se, ME,
2000, or XP.
Do I need
estimating software for the QuikRuler III?
No, the QuikRuler III can export
data to your PC and into any spreadsheet or other software that
takes keyboard input. (i.e. Excel, Lotus, etc.)
What types of transducers (pointing
devices) can be used?
Corded Stylus,
4 button, or 16 button cursor.
I get an
error message that says “No digitizer”?
Check to make sure QuikRuler is
properly connected to the digitizer. For further details refer to
the User’s Manual. Also, make sure SuperSet Code S01 is digitized
from the SuperSet menu boxes on the digitizer (lower left hand
corner for the Roll-Up line and top, center for the Super L and
AccuTab line).
I get an error message that says
“Bad Ref Point”?
This message occurs when the user
selects an invalid left or right reference point when defining the
QuikRuler III menu. Make sure the menu is located completely within
the white grid area on a Roll-Up and within the corner marks on a
rigid digitizer.
I lost my menu location what do I
do?
If somehow the
menu was moved, tape it down where you want it located.
-Disconnect the power
-Reconnect and listen for four beeps
-When “Press switch to Relocate Menu” is displayed, press down on
the tip of the stylus or press a button on the cursor in the
digitizer’s active area to enter relocate mode. Then digitize Point
1 and Point 2 on your QuikRuler menu card.
Where can I
find Point 1 and Point 2?
They are located on the left and
right of your QuikRuler menu card.
What is the “Configuration” button
used for?
Digits to the
right of the decimal point

Language preference
How can I set or change the Scale
settings?
Refer to the User’s Manual, for step
by step instructions to set-up your Scale. You may manually set a
Scale or use the Automatic Scale function. You may also select your
Unit of Measure when setting a Scale.
How do I enter my fractional Scale
into the QuikRuler III?
Scales entered into the QuikRuler
must be converted to a decimal and set up in a 1 to x ratio. There
is a table in the User’s Manual and on our Web Site that will assist
you with this conversion.
I lost my User’s Manual what do I
do?
You can obtain it in electronic form
on our Web Site at www.gtcocalcomp.com. It is a .PDF file format. A
new manual may also be purchased from our Sales Department.
I still can’t find a resolution to
my problem what do I do?
